How to identify the recalled bottle
The product is a white, one-gallon plastic bottle with a white cap and a multicolor label carrying the words “sunnyside” and “kerosene.” Look for batch number 26082 on the upper-right front of the bottle. Similar Sunnyside products with a different batch number are not identified in this recall.
Why it was recalled
CPSC says the pre-filled bottles do not have the flame mitigation devices required by mandatory portable-fuel-container standards. Those devices are intended to impede flame from propagating into a container. Without them, the recalled bottle poses a flash-fire and burn hazard.
What owners should do
- Stop using the bottle immediately.
- Place it out of reach of children.
