Information used by the site
YOURHOME is a static HTML/CSS/JavaScript site. Search and filter controls run in your browser. The site does not provide user accounts or store form submissions in a YOURHOME database.
Page-view counters
We store anonymous aggregate page-view totals in Google Cloud Firestore. To reduce repeated counts from refreshes, your browser stores the time that each page was last counted for 30 minutes using local storage. This value remains on your device and does not contain your name or contact information.
Interactive tools
Calculator, diagnostic, product-fit and maintenance-planner inputs are processed in your browser and are not saved by YOURHOME. If you use the recall search, the product search terms are sent directly to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall service to retrieve public results.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic and improve our articles. Google Analytics may collect page views, referral source, browser and device information, approximate location, and interaction data using cookies or similar identifiers. This information is reported in aggregate and is not used by YOURHOME to identify you by name.
The site may record aggregate events such as a page-to-page link click, an official source-link click, a site-search action, or reaching the end of a page. Campaign labels such as UTM source, medium and campaign may be retained for the visit. YOURHOME does not send contact-form field values or search terms to analytics.
Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on where supported.
Contact information
If you contact the site by email or a future form, information you provide may be used to respond to your request and maintain the accuracy of the site. Do not send sensitive personal information through a public form.
Future services
If advertising, affiliate links, hosted forms, or additional tracking services are added, this policy will be reviewed and updated before those services are enabled.
